Father's Day Weekend

The Loaded Mile

One mile under load. Apple Watch on. Carry it with your dad, your kid, your training partner, or in honor of someone who taught you to carry hard things.

Ruck Mode is independent fitness software for Apple Watch users. This challenge is informal, self-directed, and not affiliated with Apple, Garmin, GORUCK, any military branch, or any official test administrator.

How It Works

Keep it simple. Make it real.

Do not over-program it. The point is a real loaded mile and a clean post-session receipt.

1. Pick the load

Use a pack weight that is normal for you. If you are new, go light and keep the pace conversational.

2. Start Ruck Mode

Use Apple Watch to track the session, route, loaded pace, and effort context without switching ecosystems.

3. Walk one mile

Go with someone, call someone after, or do it quietly for the person who shaped your grit.

4. Share the receipt

Post the debrief, send it to your group, or just keep it as a small marker that you showed up.

For creators, coaches, clubs, and podcasts: if this fits your audience, ask for free Pro evaluation access. No positive coverage is expected or required, and any free access or affiliate relationship should be disclosed.

Why It Fits

Ruck Mode is built for loaded miles.

Generic running splits miss the point when weight, terrain, and effort change the session. Ruck Mode gives Apple Watch users a field-ready way to log the work and review what happened after.
